More good reasons to build your first home in a Peet community

Building your first home in a Peet community in Victoria is now even more affordable, with first homebuyers in Victoria enjoying Australia’s most generous incentives.

From 1 July 2010, first homebuyers in Victoria could be eligible to receive up to $20,000* in assistance.

Together, the First Home Owners Grant of $7,000 and the First Home Bonus of $13,000 provide first homebuyers with 20,000 good reasons to build their dream home in a Peet community in Victoria.

Peet Limited CEO and Managing Director Brendan Gore said first-time buyers should act now to take full advantage of the generous financial incentives on offer.

“Recognising the demand for affordable homesites in highly sought-after locations across Melbourne, Peet is continuing to deliver a broad range of options that are attracting first-time buyers to our communities,” Mr Gore said.

Peet has land available across Melbourne’s growth corridors, from Greenvale Lakes in the north, to Tarneit Gardens and The Rise in the west, and Skye Valley and Cardinia Lakes in the south east.

First homebuyers are now also able to choose from a selection of house and land packages at communities across Melbourne by using Peet’s house and land website (www.peethouseandland.com.au).

“Peet offers a variety of lot sizes and prices meaning buyers will find a homesite that suits their budget and their needs now and into the future,” said Mr Gore.

“All Peet communities offer good access to local facilities and services, including schools, shopping and transport links.”

Enjoy a smooth ride to The Rise

Residents and homebuyers visiting The Rise can look forward to an even safer and easier way to reach the community with the final stage of roadworks on Tarneit Road now underway.

Wyndham City Council has confirmed roadworks at the Tarneit and Sayers Road intersection, as well as improvements to Leakes Road, have re-commenced after an unforeseen delay and are expected to be completed by the end of August 2010.

The roadworks will improve the entrance to The Rise and help ease congestion on other main roads throughout Wyndham. 

Residents at The Rise are already benefiting from recent improvements to bus services in Wyndham, with commuters to soon share the benefits of the infrastructure upgrades.

New bus services benefit residents at The Rise

Travelling in and around Wyndham is now easier than ever for residents at The Rise, thanks to recent improvements to local bus services.

Residents at The Rise, who already enjoy easy access to key transport routes in Tarneit, now have access to a direct bus service to Hoppers Crossing station.

The new bus route – number 446 – began operating in April. It runs until 9pm, seven days a week and is just the beginning of five new services offered within the Wyndham area.

Travelling in and around much of Wyndham, route 446 connects residents to Hoppers Crossing, Werribee and Laverton Stations via Sayers Road and also stops at Werribee Plaza.

Commuters at The Rise are also set to enjoy smoother travels, with the Wyndham City Council recently confirming roadworks at the intersection of Tarneit and Sayers Road will recommence.

Improvements will also be made to Leakes Road and all roadworks are expected to be completed by August 2010 – creating safer and smoother travel for residents.

Santa spreads Christmas cheer across Tarneit and Innisfail

Hundreds of residents at Peet Limited’s Tarneit Gardens, The Rise and Innisfail communities were given a cool start to the festive season with an unusual visit from Santa!

Trading in his sleigh for a Mr Whippy van, Santa toured each of the communities handing out free ice-creams and candy canes, and spreading Christmas cheer.

Peet Limited Managing Director and CEO Brendan Gore said Santa’s visit to the Peet communities was a terrific way to share the festive spirit.

“It was good to see so many of the residents – and especially the children – come out and share in the celebrations,” said Mr Gore.

Marking the festive season was another occasion for residents to get to know their neighbours, and simply enjoy the areas of open space that have been created to provide the opportunity for plenty of relaxation and recreation.

These Christmas celebrations are part of a wider community engagement program designed to support the vibrant, growing communities at Peet’s three established estates within the City of Wyndham.

Tarneit Gardens, The Rise and Innisfail have each been carefully planned to ensure a wide variety of lot sizes are available to suit the needs of Wyndham’s rapidly expanding population.

With the festive season now in full swing, I would like to wish you and your family a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
 
2009 has been a busy year for Peet, and a year full of highlights. We hope it’s been a good year for you too.
 
Across our Victorian communities, from the popular Brimbank Gardens in Derrimut through to Cardinia Lakes in Pakenham, we have welcomed many hundreds of new families moving into their beautiful new homes.
 
Already, 2010 looks to be another great year with our communities set to celebrate the release of more land and welcome new residents to share in the Peet lifestyle.
 
We look forward to providing you with the latest information about new land releases as they occur throughout 2010 and beyond.
 
We will be taking a short break over the Christmas period with our Sales Offices closing at 5pm on Sunday 20 December and re-opening at noon on Saturday 2 January 2010.

With the 14th annual Planet Ark National Recycling Week kicking off next week Peet is encouraging residents at all its estates to get involved!

The Planet Ark event, which runs from Monday 9 November to Sunday 15 November, brings a national focus to recycling and waste management.  So take up the challenge, look at your daily habits and make the changes to reduce, reuse and recycle at home, at work and in the community.
